hmm.

back again... i killed the blog and fell off my diet almost immediately. didn't help that portland happened the next week and i ate like... well... like i was on vacation. i want to get back on. i want to, so badly. it's so effin hard though. i really don't have the money to go spend on special food for myself every week... and a lot of times when i do bring food home, i can't exactly write my name on my shit... parents would definitely take offense to that. so it disappears and i'm left with junk. i wish i had money to take a class... something to get in shape. but i don't. i'm super frustrated because i cannot, for the life of me, find a job. no one will hire me only for the summer. it's not worth the training at some place new. because i'm frustrated and stressed, i eat more. it sucks. bad. whatever.

done

so i guess i'm done with this blog. i think i can keep good enough track of myself just on the wii fit... pia, you haven't posted anything all weekend, and that's fine... but i was only making a blog for feedback's sake and maybe to keep other people motivated as well... i sent invites to ashley claire and melissa because they all expressed an "interest" in documenting things with me. clearly no one was serious. so, this is my last post.

Sami's Saturday, May 9

Breakfast... just grabbed a banana on the go.
Snack- pear
Lunch- turkey, spinach, cucumber, tomato, sprouts, black olives in a wrap
Snack- Sugar free pudding cup and 2 strawberries
Dinner (at Kevin's)- Lean Cuisine *spa cuisine* Chicken Mediterranean (delicious but so much sodium!)
Snack- More strawberries. yum.

not much for excercise today. skipped my cousin katie's graduation party to go to softball practice and i was one of only 2 people who showed up. (glad all these bitches on my team are wasting my time...) we played for like 50 minutes and then cut out cause it started to rain.

Sami's Friday, May 8

yeah... i don't really want to talk about it. but, here goes. most of the day was fine... till i got to melissa's house.

breakfast- 2 eggs, scrambled, with red and green peppers and a slice of wheat toast and cantaloupe
snack- 4 dried apricots
lunch- 1/2 turkey sandwich on wheat with tomato, cucumber, sprouts, spinach, light italian dressing. 1/2 serving of baked lays
snack- edy's whole fruit bar
dinner- 2 egg omelet with red and green peppers and asiago cheese. 8 oz. unsweetened cranberry juice

sigh... at mel's: 2 turkey hot dogs. one on a bun with ketchup. one naked. handful of cheese itz. 4 gummi bears. 2 pieces pineapple. like 3 potato chips, and half a dozen or so carrots. 1 miller lite, 2 (small) margaritas, 1 1/2 shots of tequila with lime and salt

spent 20 minutes on the bike in the morning- 4 miles- and mowed the lawn.

lunch: 1/2 Jersey Mike's Turkey Sub. Totally forgot the cheese inside. DOH.
snack: 1/2 Odwalla Superfood smoothie & Raspberries, Kiwi
dinner: whole wheat pasta w/ low sodium Vodka sauce, mixed veggies (broc, carrots, edamame)
snack: Kashi Bar Thing

REST DAY: My ass just wasn't havin it.

Breakfast- 1/2 cup fat free vanilla yogurt with strawberries, blueberries, and grape nuts, hot green tea (found it funny that the cronometer doesn't have green tea listed- and when i went to add it as a new food, i realized there's no nutrition information on tea. hmm.)
Snack- skipped
Lunch- 1/2 turkey sammich on whole wheat with spinach, tomato, cucumber, sprouts, light italian dressing
Snack- dried apricots (4)
Snack- 4 medium strawberries
Dinner- Subway flatbread with turkey and ham, spinach, cucumber, tomato, pickles, black olives... oh! and cheese! first time i had cheese in like 5 days.
water and fiber tablets

went out for drinks... had vodka and seltzer with a splash of cranberry.

took lucy for a walk (hike) at the dog park, came home and jumped rope for like 5 minutes.
not a great day.

P*s Hump Day

Breakfast: bowl of Steel Cut Oats w/ Raisins
Snack: Apple, NAKED protein shake(1/2)
Lunch: Kashi Frozen Dinner (forget the name)
Snack: skipped
Dinner: Turkey Sandwhich on Wheat with Spinach
Snack: nuts, bowl of Nature's Path Organic cereal and rice milk

Really bad day. I didn't leave for lunch and my poor kitchen is dying - noooo food!

Gym: 20 minutes of run/walk intervals. 30 minutes of leg machines. My butt is KILLING ME TODAY : )

Sami's Wednesday, May 6

breakfast- half a bowl of kashi golean vanilla oatmeal with blueberries. couldn't choke the whole bowl down.
snack- and apple and half a serving of baked lays southwestern ranch chips
lunch- unwich from jimmy john's- beach club: turkey, avocado spread, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, sprouts. comes with cheese and mayo too but i hate mayo and i never eat cheese on sandwiches.
snack- sugar free jell-o pudding cup
dinner- kashi pesto pasta primavera (went to kevin's for dinner so i bought some prepared meals to stay on track)
snack- cantaloupe
water throughout the day and 2 fiber tablets

rode the exercise bike for a half hour at 11-14 mph= 6 miles and 250 calories burned.
also had a softball game- we only had 9 people so no subs. played center field- had a couple really amazing catches and got the game ball :)

again, a good day. found it pretty incredible that i only took in 845 calories... 25g of fiber though!

Pia's Tuesday

breakfast: 2 eggs, scrambled. fruit.
snack: apple.
lunch: large spinach salad with cucumber, chick peas, sprouts, artichokes, carrots, broccoli, chicken, and green peppers. small scoop of balsamic vinagrette dressing.
snack: salsa and chips, nuts, and Naked protein smoothie
dinner: skipped.

I had a rough night. I went to bed as soon as I went home. Hence why I skipped dinner. I'll pay for it today when I'm at training and have lower energy.

I also skipped the gym to recoop. I have another training session with Carlos so I wanted to give my muscles a break. However, I'm in the process of trying to wake up earlier to run every day. Seriously, running I think is what jump started my weight loss...

today was a good day i think.

breakfast- 3/4 cup life cereal with 1/2 cup 1% milk (recommended serving)
lunch- baked salmon with a brown wild rice mix, steamed carrots and zucchini
snack- sugar free pudding cup
dinner- seared chicken with green beans and wild rice, unsweetened cranberry juice

once again, lots of water throughout the day and 2 fiber tablets

early in the day i did an hour worth of cardio, strength, and toning exercises (jumping rope, crunches, jumping jacks, squats, lunges, etc.)

9-930 started with 5 minutes of step aerobics to boost my heart beat, then 25 minutes of yoga/strength exercises, finished with 8 minutes of wii boxing

excited to keep it up.

Pia's Monday - May 4

Breakfast: Bowl of Steel Cut Oats & Raisins

Lunch: Kashi Lemongrass Coconut Chicken
Snack: Vanilla Soy Yogurt, Strawberries, Pineapple, Kiwi
Dinner: Low Sodium Turkey Sandwich on Multi-Grain with Spinach
Snack: Kashi Bar (can't remember which) & Watermelon
GYM:
30 Minutes of Chest/Shoulders circuit mixed with jumping jacks, mountain climbers, and high knees.
30 Minutes of Run/Walk intervals: 3 mins walk @ 3.0/4 mins run @ 6.0

My biggest goal is to incorporate more VEGGIES. I've gone as far as getting mixed vegetable bags that you can throw right into the microwave for convenience but I can't always find them.

Weigh-In = 122.5
Weight Loss = 5 lbs.

Monday, May 4

breakfast: a quaker chewy granola bar, and some iced tea with a few drops of liquid sweetener
snack: edy's strawberry whole fruit bar
lunch: tuna with whole grain quinoa and green beans
dinner: blue plate special (hamburger, pasta, and tomato sauce)
lots of water throughout the day, and 2 fiber choice tablets.

total calories: 1211 plus however many calories an apple is, as i fully intend on having one when i get home later.

Kevin and I took a walk to a park near his house and played catch for about 40 minutes. my lower back has been straining lately so i've decided i need to take up yoga again for sure. at least 20 minutes every day. also i have to get into the habit of stretching before i do any sort of physical activity.

sigh...

starting weight (God I don't want to do this...): 166 lbs. there. that wasn't so hard. yeah right.
i'll be posting every night with everything i've had to eat in the day, in an effort to stay honest, as well as any exercise i've gotten.

first steps

well... i've been wanting to do this for quite some time. i know it's not going to be an easy thing, but it makes me happy to know i've got my ladies keeping me motivated.

so far, all i've been doing is trying to get a little more active. small stuff- like doing more work around the house, and taking lucy for walks. although, her walks have turned out to (usually) be no small thing. on average i think we walk about 2 miles, two or three times a week. also with softball starting, i've been running around on the field and playing catch with kevin a lot.

as far as eating goes, i still definitely have my bad habits. since i've been staying up later, i normally eat dinner at whatever time, and then i'll still snack really late. if i work on going to bed earlier that should stop. i've cut out soda, and i don't drink very often... like i said, small things.

anyway... i'm starting this now because i really want to work on getting back in shape for summer and for my move. plus, a few weeks ago i went to old navy with the intent to buy a pair of jeans, and a 10 was snug. i refuse. i always said i refused to by a size 10, and if it came to that i was putting the smack down on my body. still haven't bought a 10, but i'm running out of jeans. bottom line- i'm not happy with myself.

i'll post pictures periodically, and i hope you girls will keep me updated with ideas, progress, etc. and, if you want to invite any other friends to follow along and share tips or whatever, feel free. good luck!
